I've lived in the Snoqualmie Valley for over 35 years and this is my goto place when I want a burger and shake. Their food is consistently yummy and hot and their strawberry milkshakes are so good! Grab a burger and then sit by the river and enjoy the view.
This place is next to Snoqualmie Falls and saw a small burger joint. Wanted to give it a try and oh wow it exceeded my expectations drastically. Service: It's pretty slow, the drive thru process I bet takes about 15 minutes per person. After ordering, you're parked at their lot for them to bring you your food. Takes a while to get your food. Ambiance: The lot is an unpaved dirt lot so be a little aware how you're driving. It felt like a small burger joint you'd get in a town. Meal combo $13.29 (5/5): The burger had the same taste profile as McDonald's if I were imagined to made back in the 70s with fresh ingredients. Portion size, I'd say it's pretty standard. The regular fries were BIG. They're similarly to Burger King sized fries but the portions were massive. Even with two people can't finish that. They're crispy and fluffy inside, tasted like as if they're fried in real lard which is a rare. Healthier old school frying method compared to fast food chains. Would come here again and recommend tourist as well to try. It's really good! Everything tasted so fresh.
The ultimate post Alpental stop. The fries are little pieces of delicious art. Milkshakes are cold heaven in a straw. If you didn't love it, you didn't come hungry enough.
Great little tiny burger stand. Worth it. When you think diner burger , this is it! Again it's small with no indoor seating , grab some grub to go!
Small Fryes is very much a roadside burger shack that looks like something the health department is salivating to shut down. It has an inconspicuous drive thru window on the side of the building. When you peek inside, it looks more like a supply closet than a kitchen. The menu is pretty straightforward and the combo price is reasonable. I parked in the shanty lot and waited for the employee to bring my bag of food out 10 minutes later, so at least it was made to order and not sitting under a heat lamp. He remembered to include some ketchup packets without me asking. Maybe it's because I hadn't had a burger in a month, but it really hit the spot. It was big, smushed, greasy, sloppy, and had a nice smashed char to the meat. The fries were nothing fancy but a nice balance of potato and crisp. Plus a fizzy Coke to wash it down. There's not much food in the area but if you're in the mood for a freshly made pile of cheese and grease, Small Fryes is a wise pit stop.
Been wanting to try this place for a while now. Turns out their Veggie Burger is just the way I like them, with a Gardenburger patty! It was delicious and reminded me of Burgermaster, who also serves Gardenburger patties. I get sick of all the Impossible and Beyond burgers, so it's nice to find another place offering a different type of veggie burger. Their fries were also delicious and salty and we washed it all down with a fizzy Mr. Pibb. I was pleasantly surprised by how yummy everything was and can't wait to go back!
Snoqualmie Valley's finest- been here for generations. The fries are special. The iconic building is an attraction. Great burgers but phenomenal fries!!!!
Nothing beats a classic, old school burger and Small Fryes is just that in Fall City. It's a small building where most people get takeout of burgers and fries and shakes (there are no seats inside). Sure, the prices I'm sure have increased since it has opened as it's been around for years, but for a classic burger and fries, it's solid. I visited Small Fryes while in the area and ordered the double cheeseburger combination, which came with fries and a drink. For this combination, with tax and tip, it was close to $20. Everything is made to order though, and I waited for about 15 minutes for my meal to be ready. Yes, the double cheeseburger was messy, but what old school burger isn't? It was pretty tasty with melted cheese and the classic toppings that went with. There was a little too much of the condiments, but I mostly enjoyed it. The fries though were double fried, which I had no idea they do here, and I love that! There's something about the double-dipped and fried fries for that extra crunchy bite that makes all the difference, and it was delicious. It also was a lot of fries, so is easy to share. Overall, this casual burger joint is on the pricier side, but nowadays, it seems like that's the case for everywhere in the Seattle area. I wouldn't come here often, but for a classic burger in Fall City, Small Fryes has you covered.
It's good for what it is - if you want some killer onion rings, this is your place. If you want clean eating, you will have trouble ordering. As with everywhere else, prices are up this year. It's a fun summer stop if you're in the area.
